Getting Started

Welcome to Altakamol. This guide walks you through your first login, the main interface, and how to launch your first workflow — in under 10 minutes.

Logging in

Altakamol has two separate applications. Use the Workflow Designer to build and manage workflows, and the Workflow Portal to execute and monitor them.

Tip: Your administrator will provide you with your username, password, and the correct URL for your organisation.
  • Open your browser and navigate to your organisation's Designer or Portal URL.
  • Enter your username and password and click Sign In.
  • If you forget your password, contact your system administrator to reset it.

Creating your first workflow

In the Designer, workflows are built visually — no coding required. Here is the quickest path to your first published workflow:

  1. Go to Workflows → Create New Workflow.
  2. Give the workflow a name and description.
  3. Click Design to open the visual canvas.
  4. Drag step types from the palette onto the canvas and connect them.
  5. Click Publish when you are ready to make the workflow live.

Using the Workflow Portal

End users interact with published workflows through the Workflow Portal. They can start new workflow instances, complete assigned tasks, and track progress — all without needing access to the Designer.

Switching between Arabic and English

Altakamol is fully bilingual. The entire interface — menus, forms, notifications, and reports — is available in both Arabic (RTL) and English (LTR).

Click the language toggle in the top navigation bar to switch between English and Arabic at any time. Your preference is saved as a cookie so you won't need to switch again on the same device.
